Elizabeth Carney

Elizabeth Carney is a writer and editor based in Columbus, Ohio. She specializes in children's nonfiction. Elizabeth received the 2005 AAAS Science Journalism Award for science reporting for children. She's written dozens of children's books on subjects ranging from Ellis Island to an angry gorilla to the mysteries of Mars. She loves visiting schools, reading to kids (including her own children), and using the power of stories to get young people hooked on STEM.
