Eric Stener Carlson is originally from the United States. Having lived most of his life abroad, his work draws from his experiences in Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe, and he is particularly interested in legends about the nature of the soul. Known for his work both as a novelist and as a human rights advocate, he writes in a variety of genres, including supernatural, mystery and horror. His fiction includes "Dark Arts" (Tartarus Press, 2022), "Plaza Lavalle" (Raphus Press, 2022), "Gas" (Mount Abraxas, 2017), "Anxiety of Ghosts" (Amazon, 2017), "Muladona" (Tartarus Press, 2016) and "The Saint Perpetuus Club of Buenos Aires" (Tartarus Press, 2009). His non-fiction includes "I Remember Julia: Voices of the Disappeared" (Temple University Press, 1996), and articles on human rights in a variety of social science journals. His short stories have appeared in journals and collections in Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the UK. He currently lives in Switzerland.
