Luisa Capetillo

Alan West-Durán was born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico. He is a poet, writer, critic, translator , and editor. West-Durán's interests are in the area of Caribbean culture, be it literature, film, music, race and ethnicity, Afro-Caribbean religions and photography. West-Durán teaches at Northeastern University in Boston.
