David Doyle

关于作者

David Doyle's earliest published works appeared in periodicals aimed at the hobby of historic military vehicle restoration. By 1999 this included regular features in leading publications related to that hobby, appearing regularly in U.S., English, French and Polish magazines. Those articles led to writing books, the first of which, a 512-page volume on the history of US military vehicles, was commissioned in 2003. Since then over 175 of his books have been published by a variety of publishers. These books have ranged in size from a scant 56-pages to large works approaching 1,000 pages. While most of these books concern a variety of historic military hardware, including aircraft and warships, the volumes on U.S. military vehicles, remain the genre with which he is most closely associated. This recognition reached its pinnacle in June 2015, when he was honored to be presented the coveted Bart Vanderveen Award by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, which is given in recognition of "...the individual who has contributed the most to the historic preservation of military vehicles worldwide."
