Peter Bently

Peter Bently is the award-winning author of many books for younger children. These include THE KING’S BIRTHDAY SUIT (shortlisted for the 2023 Laugh Out Loud Awards) OCTOPUS SHOCKTOPUS (category and overall winner of the 2022 UK Federation of Children’s Book Groups Children's Book Award, and the 2020 Teach Early Years Picture Book Prize), KING JACK AND THE DRAGON (one of the American Library Association's Notable Books of the Year, and shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal), THE GREAT DOG BOTTOM SWAP (shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize) and CATS AHOY! (winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize). Peter lives in London with his wife Lucy and daughter Tara.
