David is a is a graduate of Cedarville University, Grace Theological Seminary, and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinnati. He also studied at Ohio University and Jerusalem University College in Israel.
David has served on the faculties of Baptist Bible College (PA), Grace Theological Seminary, and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Moody Theological Seminary (Michigan) and Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, and has served as a doctoral dissertation examiner at twelve schools. An ordained Baptist minister, David has served as a pastor and an interim pastor at four churches. He currently teaches regularly at Chapel Pointe in Hudsonvile MI.
In addition to the four books listed here, David has written numerous articles and book reviews for theological journals and encyclopedias, and has contributed chapters to several other books.
David and Beverly have been married 47 years. They enjoy traveling and visiting lighthouses and other historical sites along the Great Lakes, especially Lake Superior. David is a member of the board of directors at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society, Whitefish Point and Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
