She earned her undergraduate degree in journalism/mass communications from Samford University and began her food publishing career at Oxmoor House in 1997. She has compiled and edited more than 25 books including "Cooking Light Fresh Food Fast," "Cooking Light The Essential Dinner Tonight Cookbook," and most recently, "Cooking Light Cooking through the Seasons."
