Andrew M. Schocket

Andrew M. Schocket is Professor of History and American Culture Studies and Director of American Culture Studies at Bowling Green State University. He has won fellowships from such institutions at Library Company of Philadelphia, the Huntington Library, the Hagley Museum and Library, the International Council for Canadian Studies, and the BGSU Institute for the Study of Culture and Society. He has published in a variety of academic journals as well as written for the public through the History News Service, and has taken part in various digital humanities projects. He has been deeply involved in the Bowling Green State University Faculty Association, having served as one of the co-chairs of its card campaign, and as Director of Communications during the negotiation of its first contract. He also once worked in costume at Colonial Williamsburg, although no one has pictures to prove it. He, his wife, and their two daughters live in Bowling Green, Ohio.
