Troy Bickham is a professor of history in the Department of History at Texas A&M University. He teaches broadly in the histories of Britain and its empire, the Atlantic world, and colonial North America. He has written on a variety of topics, ranging from the influence of Native Americans on the European Enlightenment to images of empire in early British advertising. His most recent book, Eating the Empire, investigates how food from around the world shaped British culture in the eighteenth century. He can be reached at tbickham@tamu.edu.
