Dennis J. Hester

Rev. Dennis Hester has served churches in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia as a pastor, interim pastor and church consultant. He now spends his time writing and specializing in the Intentional Interim Ministry, whereby he helps churches to become better prepared to call a full-time pastor. He helps churches in transition and conducts training in communication, leadership, conflict management, better church health, and developing a mission statement. Pastor Hester has written for newspapers, magazines and has compiled or written several books. His latest book is an updated version of, Pastor, We Need to Talk, “How Congregations and Pastors Can Solve Their Problems Before it’s too Late.” He is also author of, Traveling in the Slow Lane, “Lessons Learned From Bus People and Adventures Traveling on the Road.” He has edited and compiled five books of sermons, quotes and illustrations by the legendary revivalist, Dr. Vance Havner. His latest Havner book, is a Kindle Book, entitled “Holy Desperation: How to Find God When You Need Him Most.”
