I was a BBC producer up until 2006 when I decided to follow the dream of my youth to become an illustrator. I ended up as the hands behind the best-selling "Tangle Wood" and "Tangle Bay" - both filled with beautiful intricate drawings. "Tangle Magic" is on the drawing board right now!

I did an MA in Illustration but after that it took me some time to find out what I most loved doing. In running workshops in museums and galleries I got to see how much pleasure people took from 'flow activity' or losing track of time in an art activity. We all look for ways to express our creativity but may lack confidence in taking that first step with a blank sheet of paper. Many find coloring a form of therapy to relieve the effects of illness or disability. My illustrations are a starting point. Everything I do is hand-drawn and I love the fact that every person who colors one of my books is, in turn, creating their own unique piece. It's fabulous to see how one image can be interpreted in so many different ways so please do share your work with me on the Tangle Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TangleWoodColouringBook/?fref=ts"

I am also a paper artist and the author of "The Art of Papercutting". I've exhibited at the Paper Made show at the Jamestown Art Center in Rhode Island, USA where my paper sculpture "Liber-tea-belle" - celebrating the Boston Tea Party through a fantastical depiction of a Georgian bust bearing a tea clipper wig - was a talking piece of the show. I've recently produced a series of cut paper illustrations for "Bistronomy" - a look at contemporary Paris bistros by Food and Wine Magazine and New York Times food writer Jane Sigal - published by Rizzoli in New York in 2015.
