Rex Miller is a nationally respected futurist, consultant, speaker and Architectural, Engineering and Construction industry expert. His recent book, The Commercial Real Estate Revolution, describes the dysfunction of an industry struggling with old paradigms and behavior. The book provides nine transforming keys for lowering cost, cutting waste and driving change in this $1.4 trillion industry.
In 2006, Rex formed and led the Mindshift Consortium, a collection of leading A/E/C firms, owners, organizations and the federal government whose work for industry transformation earned the 2009 CoreNet Global Innovator of the Year Award. Rex was also selected as a judge for the 2010 GSA Achievement Award for Real Property Innovation. In 2011 he launched the case4space initiative with industry leaders and owners who manage the built-environment to address the chronic problem low workplace engagement.
In 2011, Rex formed and leads the case4space Consortium, a collection of owners, A/E/C firms, associations and the federal government who see design as key transforming resources for organizations. They are challenging the old paradigm of design and workplace strategies with new expectations to deliver measurable value, not just pleasing facilities.
His first book, The Millennium Matrix, introduces an innovative historical view describing the power of changing media on culture and the organizations within the culture. It describes the new leadership models necessary to navigate change and lead a rising Millennial generation. The Millennium Matrix outlines the new leadership and organizational paradigms for a digital world.
Rex joined TAG Consulting as a Senior Partner in the beginning of 2010. He leads their A/E/C practice, Strengths-based leadership training and is their resident futurist. He is a certified CoreClarity training and a member of the National Speakers Association.
Rex is an engaging keynote, conference and seminar speaker. He has spoken at over 100 industry and professional events.
