Eric J. Simon, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology and Health science at New England College in Henniker, NH. There, he teaches introductory biology to both science majors and non-science majors, as well as genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, and careers in science. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Harvard University and M.A. and B.A. degrees in biology from Wesleyan University. Dr. Simon is the lead author on "Campbell Essentital Biology" (4th Ed.) and "Campbell Essential Biology with Physiology" (3rd Ed.), bith with Jane Reece and Jean Dickey, and is a co-author (along with Neil Campell, Jane Reece, Marty Taylor, and Jean Dickey) on "Biology: Concepts and Connections" (5th Ed.). Eric lives in rural New Hampshire with his wife, 2 boys, Jack the dog, and a few dozen chickens.
