C. Dale Young

C. Dale Young practices Medicine full-time and teaches in the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers. A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation, he is the 2017 recipient of the Hanes Award given by the Fellowship of Southern Writers. He is the author of six books, including The Affliction, a novel in stories. His latest collection of poetry is Prometeo (Four Way Books, 2021). He lives in San Francisco. In 2025, Four Way Books will publish his seventh book Building the Perfect Animal: New & Selected Poems.
