Gary Faigin

Painter, critic and author, Gary Faigin is co-Founder and Artistic Director of Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, plus the school's Still Life Atelier instructor. Faigin also serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington where he teaches facial expressions to graduate animation students and works on a research team studying human perception of stylized facial expressions. In addition, Faigin trains CG artists in the anatomical and artistic aspects of facial expression at media studios in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Faigin has exhibited his paintings widely, including a retrospective of his work at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle, and the Coos Museum of Art in Oregon. Faigin also serves as a board member of the Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds.
