Raymond D. Boisvert lives on the coast of Maine. He is professor emeritus of philosophy at Siena College, near Albany NY. His areas of expertise are Post-Modern Intellectual History, American Pragmatism, and a field he helped found, philosophy and food. Philosophically, he was shaped by studies at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, the University of toronto (MA) and Emory University (PhD). He is author of books in John Dewey and on the philosophy of food. His essays and talks range from technical pieces on philosophy to more popular presentations on Albert Camus, Frankenstein, and on humans as nutrition-needy beings.
