William Landon is a Professor of Renaissance History in the Department of History and Geography at Northern Kentucky University. He holds an M.Sc. (1999) and Ph.D.(2003) from the University of Edinburgh. William has written and presented a very successful audio-book for "The Great Courses" titled: "Books that Matter: 'The Prince'" (available via Audible), an Audible version of the 1640 translation of Machiavelli's "The Prince", a wide variety of peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, and two monographs; the most recent of which, "Lorenzo di Filippo Strozzi and Niccolò Machiavelli", was published by The University of Toronto Press in 2013. He has also recently received a three-year National Science Foundation Grant. William's newest audio book, written and performed exclusively for Audible - "The Rise and Fall of the Borgia" was released in November of 2019.
