Henry E. Brady is Dean of the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is Class of 1941 Monroe Deutsch Professor of Political Science and Public Policy. He received his Ph.D. in Economics and Political Science from MIT, and in 2009–10 he was President of the American Political Science Association. Brady has published more than 80 articles and books on electoral politics and political participation, social welfare policy, program evaluation, management information systems, and methodology. He has played a leading role in creating new data sets that strengthen the knowledge-base for rigorous social science. Brady is an elected Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
