Sandy Weyeneth grew up on a pig farm in rural Indiana surrounded by majestic corn and soybean fields. She can still belt out "suey" when needed to round up hogs. While growing up in a family of eight kids, one highlight was driving into town for a Frosty Freeze ice cream cone and watching the traffic go by at the town's only stoplight.
Sandy says she was a "late bloomer" in life. Going to college was a giant step. At Ball State University, she squeezed a two-year Associate in Arts degree into three years. Then she worked several years in administrative work for a non-profit missions organization, The Navigators. She enjoyed her work and serving others.
Sandy pursued school again and got her degree in marketing at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. She continued working for The Navigators in various roles, eventually moving into the area of training others in raising personal support. During these years, Sandy began to see her knack for editing and writing as well.
Her first book was Writing Exceptional Missionary Newsletters, an example-driven book designed for those who write personal ministry newsletters. It was named a best seller by William Carey Library Publishers.
Her second book is Love Worth the Wait - Trusting God for Real Romance and Real Relationship. This tells the inspiring story of how she met her husband later in life when getting married seemed impossible. It is a candid, intelligent, and witty love story told through their engaging e-mails to one another while dating. It's also much more. The book highlights God's faithfulness and it offers discussion questions and principles that can be used throughout life.
Sandy lives in Colorado with her husband Randy. They have three lovely daughters who are all grown and live in California. Sandy enjoys mentoring and helping women grow and succeed in life. Throughout her writing is a consistent theme that life works when go back to the very beginning, to God who is the Creator. God's ways-His blueprints-are designed to make life work.
