Elena Juris

Elena Juris has developed patient and professional health education programs and materials for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and companies such as the American Cancer Society, American Association of Poison Control Centers, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Pfizer. She is the author of Positive Options for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (2004) and Positive Options for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (2014), and she is a member of the American Medical Writers Association. Her creative non-fiction and articles have also appeared in a range of media such as Pain Pathways, the RSDSA Newsletter, Tales Magazine, KineticTravel, The New Colonist, Baltimore Magazine, The Baltimore Chronicle, ShesGotBaby.com, Dacha.com, and other print and online sources. Elena is currently the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Training Center, overseeing training and development services to the NIH's 27 Institutes and Centers. She also teaches writing workshops, facilitates strategic planning retreats, and serves as a leadership coach at the NIH.
