Jürgen Tautz

Juergen Tautz, born in 1949, is a behavioural scientist, sociobiologist and bee expert. He is a retired professor at the Biocenter of the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg. He is the author of numerous publications and books (including popular science books on bees, some of which have been translated into over 20 languages). He has received numerous awards for the popular communication of scientific content, including the Communicator Prize of the German Research Foundation in 2012.
