Lisa Maddock

Born and raised in Minnesota, Lisa Maddock has enjoyed creative writing for as long as she can remember. Writing a children's book seemed a natural thing to do, as her young daughter Allison grew to love books more and more. Reading countless middle-grade stories with Allison, combined with watching antics of family guinea pigs, Maggie and Peanut, became the inspiration for her first book, "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs", starring the squeaky, spunky stars, Teddy and Pip. Teddy and Pip stories are chapter books for approximately third to fifth grade readers, but my books are enjoyed by younger readers too (as read-alouds). Consider Teddy and Pip for your young but advanced/gifted reader. Adults will enjoy the stories, too! I like to think there is a little something for everyone in this series. NOTE: "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs" has been re-released (a second edition - same story!) and now includes the list of all best friends club members (human and guinea pig) at the end! (Best of times!)
