Jonathan Hopkins

Jonathan Hopkins spent most of his working life in the Fitted Kitchen industry but now, in what is laughingly referred to as 'retirement', fits and adjusts saddlery as well as writing.

A lifelong horse-keeper and long term chair of an affiliated British Riding Club close to his home in South Wales, his interest in cavalrymen who served under the Duke of Wellington originally grew out of research into saddlery worn by troop horses in this period, for which there are no surviving patterns.

Married, with daughter, granddaughter, horse and rescue greyhound, he enjoys reading most Historical Fiction, with Bernard Cornwell a particular favourite author.
