Sally Pomme Clayton

Sally Pomme Clayton also writes as Pomme Clayton - please call her Pomme! She loves fairytales and myths. Many of her stories have bold female protagonists at the heart of the adventures. Her latest book is for adults - 'The Mighty Goddess' is a collection of 52 goddess myths revitalizing powerful goddesses, creating new perspectives from ancient myths. The book contains 52 papercuts by artist/poet Sophie Herxheimer. Pomme is the and author of 15 children's books several in collaboration with Sophie Herxheimer. Her latest books are: 'Violet and the Sea Giant' (Autin Dance 2022); 'The King with Dirty Feet' (Otter-Barry Books 2021/2018) winner of The Oxford Book Award best picture book 2019; 'The Phoenix of Persia' (Tiny Owl Books 2019) nominated for the Greenaway Award 2020 and the UKLA award.
