Dr. Katharine Brooks is a nationally recognized career counselor, coach and writer. The author of an Amazon best-selling career book for liberal arts majors, "You Majored in What?", she is the new co-author of "What Color is Your Parachute" and also writes a blog for Psychology Today. She is currently the Executive Director of the Career Center for Vanderbilt University. She has directed career centers at Wake Forest University,The University of Texas at Austin, and Dickinson College. She is the recipient of the Kauffman Award from the National Association of Colleges and Employers for her contributions to the career services field. She was also twice named one of the "10 Most Visionary" people in career services in a survey conducted by CSO Research. She has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Gettysburg College, and a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling and a doctorate in educational psychology from West Virginia University.
