Janice L. Green is now retired from an active family law practice in Austin, TX after 44 years in the trenches. For 35 years she was a partner in the Preeminent-AV-rated boutique family law firm, Farris & Green. She was Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for 33 years, a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (1996-2018), named to Best Lawyers in America (2008-19, Woodward/White Pub.), and a Texas Super Lawyer (2003-19, Texas Monthly & Law & Politics Pub.).She is a frequent speaker and a published author of more than 65 articles on family law. She has been interviewed and quoted in numerous national and online publications, including The Wall Street Journal, US News & World Report, Kiplinger's Retirement Report, Bottom Line, AARP Bulletin, Consumer Report--Personal and many other national print and online publications. Ms. Green has also appeared on NPR’s Diane Rehm Show and Talk of the Nation, Huffington Post's "Live" and on ABC's top rated show, "View from the Bay." She continues to speak and write about late-life divorce. Janice is an Honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Texas. While continuing to reside in Austin, she relishes time spent at her cabin-home outside Pagosa Springs, CO, where Janice is focused on her next writing project, a book of essays about another late-in-life event -- adopting her very first dog at 64.
