Robin Goldstein

Dr. Robin Goldstein is the author of "Can Legal Weed Win?: The Blunt Realities of Cannabis Economics," which will be released in June 2022 by the University of California Press. His last book was "The Wine Trials", which challenged the relationship between wine and quality, ignited controversy across the wine world, and sold more than 100,000 copies. Dr. Goldstein is an economist, lawyer, and Director of the UC Davis Cannabis Economics Group. He has lectured on cannabis, food, drinks, and economics around the world, founded Fearless Critic Media, authored six books of restaurant reviews, and been a regular contributor to the New York Times "Freakonomics" blog. He has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Bordeaux, a certificate in cooking from the French Culinary Institute in New York, and a WSET advanced sommelier certificate.
