Jim Edlin

Jim Edlin is Professor of Biblical Literature and Languages at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. Prior to his present assignment, he taught at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in Manila, Philippines. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Old Testament Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, where he studied under the supervision of John D.W. Watts and focused upon rhetorical analysis of prophetic texts. His commentaries on Daniel and Ezra-Nehemiah both give special attention to the literary artistry in these books and how these features guide interpretation of the text.
