Eduardo M. Penalver is a professor of law at Cornell Law School, where he teaches property and land use. His research focuses on the intersection between property law and community; he is particularly interested in the role of disobedience in the evolution of property law. A Rhodes Scholar, he joined the Cornell faculty (where he had previously studied as an undergraduate) in 2006. After graduating from Yale Law School in 1999, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Guido Calabresi, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Honorable John Paul Stevens, of the U.S. Supreme Court.
