My latest books are The Death of Science, co-edited with Prof. Angus Dalgleish (ebook and paperback) and the third edition of PANDEMIC (ebook only).
The Death of Science looks at the way in which science has been politicised and defunded. The very essence of science has been lost.
The third edition of PANDEMIC is presently only available as an ebook only whilst the second edition of PANDEMIC is available as a paperback (but not as an ebook). 6 chapters are dedicated to the Covid-19 pandemic !
The first edition was published on August 1st 2020 and was the first book to address the novel coronavirus epidemic. I was already writing the book before the virus struck, having warned about it some years previously. Many doctors were warning about novel coronaviruses but still we were not ready for it! The book contains a personal account of my time in an isolation hospital, incarcerated with my brother due to scarlet fever and my memories of hallucinations due to the Asian Flu in 1957!
PANDEMIC continues in the same tradition as "Fake News, An approximately true analysis", which according to the foreword is worthless and should be shredded. I definitely agree! Have a look and see what you think!
Fake News follows on from the cartoon book entitled The National Elf Service...not the NHS. In that book the Right Horrible Jellybean Shunt is forcing the junior dwarves (doctors?) to work in the coal mines 10 days a week whilst the management pull the clinical staff over the edge of the cliffs onto the rocks of despair. Thank goodness it was not about the NHS!
