Cliff Yates is a poet and teacher. His various collections of poems include Henry’s Clock, winner of the Fenton-Aldeburgh First Collection Prize and overall winner of the Poetry Business Book & Pamphlet Competition, Frank Freeman’s Dancing School, which received an Arts Council England Writer’s Award, and Jam (Arts Council Grant for the Arts). He wrote Jumpstart Poetry in the Secondary School during his time as Poetry Society poet-in-residence following the success of his students at Maharishi School in poetry competitions. A former Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Aston University, he leads courses and workshops throughout the UK and abroad.
