Jack H. Bender

Jack is an author, poet, large group facilitator and mediator with eclectic interests, but many revolve around organizations, workplace issues, conflict resolution and spirituality. His book Disregarded: Transforming the School and Workplace through Deep Respect and Courage has been hailed as an important contribution to contemporary social justice. Disregarded is well-researched and documented, yet it reads like a novel. Moonflower and Other Poems I Didn't Write demonstrates a gift for poetry, focusing on life experience and spirituality. Jack's latest offering is Three Simple Words, a collection of 154 poems that also weave the threads of life experience and spirituality. Bender is an active mediator for Mediation Services of Holland, Michigan which serves Ottawa and Allegan counties. Mediation Services is a State of Michigan sanctioned and supported organization. Jack enjoys motorcycling and brass music arranging in his free time. Rumors that he is The Phantom Tuba Player cannot be confirmed.
