Seth Muller was born and raised on the East Coast, but he truly fell in love with the Southwest. He moved to Arizona in 2001. His love for the rugged and open country blended with his lifelong passion for the written word. Seth's first nonfiction book, Canyon Crossing: Experiencing the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim, is published by the Grand Canyon Association. It's a narrative journey of the Corridor Trails, connecting with the people, places and history along them. The book has been critically acclaimed and was named a Pima County Library Southwest Book of the Year in 2011. While researching Canyon Crossing, Seth also wrote poetry and ultimately created Heart in the Bony Middle, a poetic compendium to his canyon writings. Seth collaborated with multicultural publisher Salina Bookshelf and wrote the three books of a young-reader fantasy fiction series called Keepers of the Windclaw Chronicles. The series follows a Navajo girl named Ellie Tsosie who learns how to communicate with birds. The gift gives her insight into the Natural and Animal Worlds and leads her on an adventure. Recently, he also partnered with eBook publisher Vook to release Augustus Fig, a young teen novel that explores tall-tale folk hero mythology and Western themes. Seth lives with his wife Jane and family in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he works as a magazine editor and contributor. He also is a produced playwright.
