Jeff Deck is an author and novel coach whose writing has been featured on the Today Show. He lives in Maine with his wife and dog. Deck writes speculative fiction, as well as helping other authors tell their stories.
Deck is the author of the urban fantasy series "The Shadow Over Portsmouth" (Book 1: "City of Ports", Book 2: "City of Games," Book 3: "City of Notions"). He also writes romance under the pen name Augusta St. Clair.
Deck wrote the supernatural thriller "The Pseudo-Chronicles of Mark Huntley" and the sci-fi gaming adventure novel "Player Choice." Deck is also the author, with Benjamin D. Herson, of the nonfiction book "The Great Typo Hunt: Two Friends Changing the World, One Correction at a Time" (Crown/Random House). His stories appear in various anthologies including "Robots and Artificial Intelligence" (Flame Tree), "Corporate Cthulhu" (Pickman's Press), "Murder Ink 2: Sixteen More Tales of New England Newsroom Crime" (Plaidswede), and "The Dystopian States of America" (Haverhill House).
In 2008, Deck took a road trip across the U.S. with friends to fix typos in signage and nearly wound up in federal prison. He enjoys reading speculative fiction, exploring New England with his family, playing video games, and plundering from the past and future.
