She is a career coach with 23+ years' experience, and has helped over 9,000 people find jobs and internships. She is a career coach in private practice and the Assistant Dean of Career Services at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Previously, she was Director of Career Services for the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Affairs, one of the top MPA programs in the USA, and Internship Coordinator at Baruch College, CUNY, the nation's most diverse college. She has a PhD in Public Health from Maastricht University, a Master of Education in Adult Learning & Leadership from Teachers College Columbia University, a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from New School University and a Certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from NYU, and has served on several nonprofit boards of directors. At the Evans School, Heather co-wrote and won the Partnership for Public Service's Call to Serve grant, which is given to only five universities in the United States each year for the purpose of helping colleges promote federal government employment; as a result of the program she established, the number of federal jobs students obtained increased by 500%. She is a Certified Workforce Development Professional, Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter, Certified Diversity Recruiter, Certified Workforce Development Professional, and Certified Employment Interview Consultant, and she has over 50 recommendations and 300 endorsements on LinkedIn.
