Pinde Fu

Dr. Pinde Fu is at the forefront of both industry and academia in GIS. As a Senior Principal Software Developer Engineer and Team Lead at Esri, he spearheads innovative GIS applications, collaborating with federal, state, local, and commercial organizations to implement Web and Mobile GIS solutions across environmental, emergency management, utilities, natural resources, and more.

Alongside his industry work, Dr. Fu is devoted to GIS education. He is the author of Getting to Know Web GIS and Getting to Know Mobile GIS, comprehensive guides that explore the latest GIS technologies and their applications. Additionally, he teaches Web and Mobile GIS courses at institutions such as Harvard Extension School, Tufts University, and California State University, sharing his knowledge with future GIS professionals.
