I'm a London-based writer and, although I tend to specialise in writing about food and drink, I also write about lifestyle, film and travel and I've worked on a number of humour/gift books. I enjoy the whole process of writing a book, from the initial planning and the extensive research, through to the writing itself. And then there's the excitement of seeing all that hard work come to fruition when the first copy of the book arrives.
