Patti Renee Rose

Dr. Patti Rose acquired her Master’s Degree from Yale University followed by her Doctorate (Ed.D) from Columbia University, Teachers College. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York. She is the author of several books, including, Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Context, Controversies, and Solutions, which is the second edition of Health Disparities, Diversity, and Inclusion: Contexts, Controversies and Solutions, Cultural Competency for Health Administration and Public Health and Cultural Competency for the Health Professional, of which all were published by Jones and Bartlett Learning. Her latest work is A Return to Black Love: The Joys of Black Fatherhood, Motherhood and Marriage revealed, which includes six heartwarming interviews about Black love. The book, among many relevant topics, explores the notion of the missing Black father and shatters it. The book also includes exercises, Black love ingredients and affirmations for everyday consideration. It invites everyone to understand, explore and appreciate the beauty of Black love in a very diverse world. She understands the importance of books as they relate to children and consequently wrote and illustrated Himalia's Dream Venture, Himalia Gets A Dog and Himalia gets a Passport, which is a series on Financial Literacy for children. Her booklets for college/university students and graduates entitled Forgiveness For Your Student Loans: A Survival Guide, Part I and II help students navigate through the complex reality of having student loans. Dr. Rose’s primary passion is to travel the globe to understand the world and to share her knowledge of various cultures, history, globalism and diversity with all whom she encounters through lectures, teaching and speaking engagements. She has traveled to 50 countries including Fiji, Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Senegal and the Cape Verde Islands), China, Sri Lanka, Japan, Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands), the Caribbean (Jamaica, Tortola, ,St. Thomas, Barbados) Haiti, Aruba, N.A, Latin and Central America (Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic) and beyond. As a Huffington Post Contributor she offered a series articles entitled 50 Countries and Counting, A Naturalista's Travel Adventures along with other posts on varying subjects.
