Amit Kessel

Dr. Amit Kessel is a computational biologist specializing in protein structure-function relationship. He has a PhD from Tel-Aviv University and has done his post-doctorate at Columbia University, New York. In 2012 Dr. Kessel co-founded ES-IS Technologies, a start-up company that designed enzymes for the pharmaceutical industry. He is currently working and teaching biochemistry and protein science at Tel-Aviv University. Dr. Kessel is also involved in various academic and industrial projects, including the development of experimentally-guided protein structure prediction approaches and the design of protein-based nano-particles for gene therapy.
