Peter Woodworth was introduced to role-playing games at the age of 5, when he and his brother discovered some oddly shaped dice while walking home from school. He's been gaming in one form or another ever since. A few years later, he wrote his first story and got hooked on writing fiction. He started writing professionally at 15, before anyone could tell him how unlikely it was that game companies would hire anyone his age with no previous credits. Despite some rookie mistakes, a series of kindly editors took pity on him, and since then he has worked as a writer for several companies including West End Games, Eschaton Media, White Wolf Game Studio and Evil Hat Games. In that time he's worked for a variety of live-action and tabletop game lines, including Changeling: The Lost, Mind's Eye Theatre, Vampire: The Masquerade, Fiasco, Changeling: The Dreaming, Ravenloft, Hunter: The Reckoning, Spirit of the Century and (naturally) Dystopia Rising. Outside of games and game writing Peter went through the requisite odd jobs all writers seem to pick up during their career, from bookstore clerk to music journalist to copier tech, before finding his other calling in life as an English professor at a small college in southern New Jersey. When he's not meeting deadlines or grading term papers, he tends to be making playlists, watching cheesy paranormal television shows, debating literature with his far more scholarly wife, or just gaming with the best group of friends a geek could ever hope to have.
