I wrote, "The World is Your Oyster" following a a relaxing weekend trip to the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand. The first draft was written in just two hours when so many ideas came spilling onto my page. The title comes from the realization that anyone can do anything if they believe that their dreams are possible.
I spend a lot of my time teaching my class of Year 1 five and six year old children. I get my inspiration from the zany adventures we have everyday. Hopefully I can find more time to turn these adventures that are spinning around in my brain into stories to share someday soon.
When I am not teaching, I love hiking (or tramping as it it known in NZ). I try to find the time to cook and bake. I am also learning how to grow my own vegetable garden. I am passionate about painting, drawing and reading. One important thing I have learned as a writer is that if you want to write well, you have to be a reader! READ EVERYDAY!
Who knows where the next adventure will take me.
