Brent Christianson was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1951, portaged Grand Portage in 1966 and currently lives in Northfield, Minnesota with his wife, Rebecca. He has been published in The New Oneota Review (Luther College), Lutheran Partners, Off the Coast, Out of Line, Into the Teeth of the Wind (U-Cal, Santa Barbara), Main Channel Voices, "Against Agamemnon" (James Adams, ed.) The Wisconsin Poets' Calendar. He has been a repeat prize winner in the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets Triad contest. He believes poetry needs a narrative flow to connect to the reader. His favorite poets include Robert Bly, B.H. Fairchild, Robert Hayden, Jane Kenyon, Richard Wright and, along with most American poetry readers, Rumi.
