Dr Bindi is an international senior scholar who has often ventured into diplomacy, government and NGOs, and has over a quarter-century experience in leadership and management. Currently, a Nonresident Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Director of the Foreign Policy Initiative at the Institute for Women Policy Research and Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Previously, Bindi held visiting positions at top international institutions (SAIS John Hopkins University, the Brookings Institution, the Norwegian Institute for International Affairs (NUPI), Sc.Po in Paris, ULB in Brussels, ICS at the University of Lisbon, the Portuguese Catholic University, NYU, CalState and AppState. Fluent in six languages (English, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Norwegian), Dr. Bindi mainly works on foreign policy, IR, transatlantic relations, the European Union, women leadership, institution building. Bindi advised six governments, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Europe. I occasionally act as strategic consultant for international organizations, NGOs, business and senior political leaders. Published seven volumes, some of which can be purchase on this page. She is an outdoors lover and she enjoys rock-climbing, biking, paddling, windsurfing, camping but most of all Alpine skiing (she is a certified USSA Alpine ski coach).
