Mark Yokoyama is an American naturalist, author, photographer and wildlife educator residing on Saint Martin. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and is a former President of the Oregon Entomological Society. He has spent the last twelve years documenting terrestrial biodiversity in the Lesser Antilles. He has published two editions of The Incomplete Guide to the Wildlife of Saint Martin, the first book of its kind on the island.
He is co-founder and Treasurer of the non-profit association Les Fruits de Mer. Les Fruits de Mer activities include public wildlife events, books on wildlife subjects, short documentary films, and Amuseum Naturalis, museum of natural and heritage on St. Martin. The association has published a dozen books in English and eight in French. Mark has collaborated with a number of scientists and conservation organizations. Mark does all kinds of nature photography, including wildlife, plant, macro, underwater, drone and microscopy. His photographs has been published in dozens of books and publications, including The New York Times and The Economist.
