In another life, as "agrégée" and doctorate in comparative literature, I taught in Brittany, Berlin and at the University of Orléans. My research themes: cultural transfers and literary translation. Hence the titles of my books: “France-GDR. Anatomy of a literary transfer (1949-1990)”, Peter Lang, 1999. – “Nausikaa. A transfer bibliography”, Paris, MSH, 2010. –“Introduction to the analysis of translated works”, Colin, 2008.
Translating against oblivion, saving, in an "ark of books", the works prevented by the vicissitudes of history from being published or distributed, this is my project as translator, which is reflected in my bibliography: “The Lights go down” by Erika Mann, 1940; “Secret Berlin” by Franz Hessel, 1927. For children's literature: “The Gang of Ten” by Erika Mann, 1942; Ruth Rewald's three novels written during her exile: “Janko, the young Mexican” (1934); “Tsao and Jing-Ling. Childhood in China” (1937); “Four boys in the Spanish Civil War.1936-1939”, (1938).
