Susan McHugh, Professor of English at the University of New England, USA, teaches courses in writing, literary theory, and plant and animal studies, among other areas. McHugh serves as Co-editor of two book series: Palgrave Studies in Animals and Literature, the first academic book series devoted to literary animal studies; and Plants and Animals: Interdisciplinary Approaches. She is Editor in Chief of the journal Society & Animals.
