Yolanda Ridge is a middle grade author and science writer based in Rossland, BC. Originally from Ontario, Yolanda grew up in Alberta and lived in eleven different cities before settling in the Monashee Mountains of British Columbia.
With a Master of Science degree and ten years experience working as a genetic counsellor, she’s adept at making complex concepts understandable—a skill she uses in her writing, teaching, and author visits.
When she's not working at her treadmill desk, you’ll find Yolanda exploring the mountains with her family, in the kitchen cooking for her teenaged twin boys, or curled up with a good book (if she can find space on the couch between her two cats—Jupiter and Comet).
