Jonathan Hill

Jonathan Hill is an award-winning cartoonist, illustrator, and educator. He has done work for Fantagraphics Books, The Portland Trailblazers, The Believer Magazine, Powell's City of Books, and Oregon Humanities. His first two graphic novels (Americus, Wild Weather: Storm, Meteorology, and Climate) were published by First Second Books. His third book, Odessa, won the 2021 Believer Book Award for Graphic Literature and made the PNBA Book Award shortlist. His fourth book, Tales of a Seventh Grade Lizard Boy, was published by Walker Books in 2022, with a sequel coming in Spring of 2025. He's currently working on the Comixology Originals series Budding Crisis, which he is reunited with writer MK Reed, and will debut in January 2025.
