Alferian Gwydion MacLir

Dr. Alferian Gwydion MacLir was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the Great North Woods of North America. He has been a professional wandmaker for over a decade and a practicing wizard for nearly 30 years. Alferian is a Druid Companion of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD), a traditional British druid order. He is a Master Mason and a 32° Master of the Royal Secret A.A.S.R. Among other affiliations, Alferian is a member of the Ancient Order of Druids in America and a Companion of the Imaginary Royal College of Enchanters. He is a card-carrying member of Brass Goggles and The Steampunk Empire. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter and also in the netherworld. Among Dr. MacLir's areas of research interest are medieval history, Victorian literature, poetry, music, steampunk, mechanical and aetherical engineering, and outrageous hats. He is currently working on the first in a series of novels set at a druid university and following the adventures of a young girl growing up in the strange secret world of enchanters, spies, and airships.
