J. Harley McIlrath

J. Harley McIlrath was raised on the family farm near Newburg, Iowa. He earned a BA in English and Philosophy and an MA in English from the University of Northern Iowa. For ten years, he ran his own bookstore in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Currently, he is the assistant manager and book buyer for the Grinnell College Bookstore and Pioneer Bookshop in Grinnell, Iowa. His fiction has appeared in various journals and magazines, including the Cream City Review, the North American Review, the Seneca Review, and the Wapsipinicon Almanac. His novel, The Child: A Bob's Tap Christmas, is forthcoming from the Ice Cube Press in October, 2013.
